@Vibra lol yeah the problem is actually with the primary feathers I think, I put way too much drag on them and they're lagging so far behind that the actual position of the wing appears skewed backwards. Thanks for the cnc tho lol

you guys, I just learned about saccadic masking and im losing my mind and telling this to every animator im friends with. So apparently when you move your eyes, you can't actually see during the movement because it goes out of focus and becomes a blurry mess. But your brain makes up for this by literally messing with your perception of time. It renders the image at the end of your eye movement, but convinces you that you're seeing it at the end PLUS for the duration of the eye movement. I know that doesnt really make sense because you're going backwards in time, but remember that your brain doesn't exactly run on a linear time scale.

Anyways I just did the math, and this is a totally feasible reason that some frames in animation will appear to last slightly longer than others, especially when they're on ones. holy fuck. I cant believe biology is like this

i heard that a long time ago and wondered about a test, what if someone wore glasses that show you the world upsite down? would the brain (given time) adapt to this and somehow the guy would wake up with perfectly normal sight?

@Vibra I'm pretty sure we could, we are beings of habits and adjustments, I think one of us COULD hypothetically get adjusted to this. It would be more like a literal definition of how our eyes would see our environment, instead of how our brain interprets it. (I really like science as you can see xD)

Your stuff is like, so incredibly clean! How do you even manage to do such consistent linework like that? It doesn't look shaky at all

@Granex Damn you think so? I still think this one's a lil shaky, lol. I guess it's a matter of practice, being able to draw from point A to B in a single line. imo the best way to practice is just go for it with overwhelming confidence that you'll get it right, and keep undoing until you DO get it, lol.
There's little things you can do in flash to make your brush lines smoother too, like keeping your brush size consistent, setting a level of smoothing that's comfortable for you, and using the selection tool's "smooth" option to fix lil bumps here and there.(I didn't use that here though, that's more for like, final linework lol)
