My friend said that animating isn't productive, but that's stupid because I asked him if he thinks drawing is productive, and he said yes. It's basically the same but one's digital and it moves. I'm sure he would say it was productive if I was doing traditional paper animations. It's the same with my parents.

lol I honestly do. The friends part, that is. I asked him why animating isn't productive and he said "AJ, if it's on any electronic device, it's not productive. You need to get away from you computer more often." I do agree that I should get away from my computer more often, but I disagree with pretty much everything else.

That is absolutely not true. And i'm not saying that because i'm passionate by animating, and because i'm animating, it's a fact

I really want to develop but don't listen to your "friend" there is tons of ways of being productive nowadays, and none of them is better than other

You know, Animation is way more "productive" than paper drawings, people actually ENJOY animations because they are entertaining, and we all know entertainment is an extremely popular industry, probably the most. The amount of people that watch animations outweigh the amount of people who stare at still/boring art by a very large margin

and someone who says "something isn't productive" is super close minded, we all know that line and Like Pounch Pounch there are tons of ways of being productive, and even if it isn't productive, that isn't your problem, your animating for yourself, for fun, and to increase your skills, to enhance your talent, in my book that is super productive
